Working them through the water

Match the head weight to the conditions. Go lighter for shallow, calm marks close in, heavier to reach fish in a strong tide or off a boat. Work them on a straight retrieve, a sink-and-draw lift-and-drop, or bounced along the bottom, depending on the mood of the fish.
