Down The Cove began in Cornwall on 5 November 2012. The original founders were based in Mullion, on the Lizard Peninsula, surrounded by fishing harbours, working coves, rock pools, and the practical knowledge that comes from life close to the sea.
The idea was simple: help people enjoy the coast properly with dependable fishing tackle, family crabbing kits, seafood tools, food smoking kit, coastal gifts, and clear guidance.
In November 2025, Down The Cove began a new chapter under new family ownership. We took it on because the brand already had something worth protecting: useful products, honest advice, Cornish roots, and a genuine love of coastal living.
