Portreath
The fishing port of Portreath is built around the harbour. There is a lovely sandy beach to the west of the harbour. In the 19th century Portreath was a very important and busy port from where copper ore was shipped to Wales and coal imported to run the steam engines for the mines.

The rocks around this area produce large pollack, wrasse, congor eel, dogfish, mackerel and the odd gurnard.
