Bait – small rigs tend to be more efficient than bait
Method – spin with herring rig
Silver sides and underneath with dark head and gills. The topside is greeny blue. They have large scales for the size of the fish which are easily detached.

Herring are found all around the coast. They normally swim in large shoals. These shoals will be nearer the surface at night, while during the day they tend to move to the bottom
Herring are an oily fish which are great grilled, smoked or roll mopped. They are rich in vitamins and minerals and especially Omega 3 Oils.
