About this product

A simple, good-quality hand line for crabbing. It comes with booms and a weight, and the bait goes in a net bag instead of on a hook.

With no hooks, it's the line to choose for younger children. Lower it from a harbour wall or pier, then lift it slowly so the crabs hold on.

Bait isn't included. Always supervise children near water, check the tides and local rules, and return crabs gently after a look.

No hooksThe bait sits in a net bag, so there are no hooks to handle.
Ready to useBooms and a weight come with the line. Just add bait.

How to use

Crabbing in four steps

1Pick a safe spot

A sheltered harbour or pier with safe access. Keep children supervised at all times.

2Fill a bucket with seawater

So crabs can be looked at for a short while before going back.

3Bait the bag and lower

Put the bait in the net bag, then lower the line gently.

4Lift slowly

Bring the line up steadily, look at the catch, then return crabs gently.

FAQs

Questions before you buy

Is it safe for younger children?

It has no hooks, so it suits younger children, but they still need an adult with them near water.

How long can crabs stay in the bucket?
