About this product

A grab-and-go sea fishing kit built around a Travelmaster 6ft carbon rod that breaks down into six pieces, paired with a Dinomax 130 reel already loaded with line.

The backpack also holds a waterproof tackle box with mackerel feathers, a Tobie spinner, Sidewinder sandeels, a ready-made sea rig, float kits, weights, hooks and swivels, plus scales, a priest/disgorger, preserved bait, a drop net for catching fresh bait and two guides. It's set up for beach, pier and harbour fishing.

Depending on stock, we may occasionally swap a tackle item for one of equal or better quality.

How to use

Fishing in four steps

Set up on the beach in minutes. Everything folds back into the bag.

1Put the rod together

Join the six sections, fit the reel and thread the line through the rings.

2Choose a rig or lure

Clip on the sea rig for bait fishing, or tie on the spinner, feathers or a sandeel.

3Add a weight and bait

A 1oz bomb holds the bottom; lighter ball weights are for float fishing.

4Cast, then pack down

Afterwards, rinse the kit, dry it and pack it back in the backpack.

Is it suitable for beginners?

Yes. It's a complete starter setup, so a beginner can start sea fishing without working out what to buy.

Do I need anything else?

Only a fishing licence where one is required. Preserved bait is included, and the drop net catches fresh bait.

Will the kit match the list exactly?

Almost always. If an item is out of stock, we may swap it for one of equal or better quality.
