What is in the bottom fishing tackle kit?

It contains 100m of Zebco Trophy mono line, ten size 4 baitholder hooks, two barrel swivels, an American snap swivel, a 2oz bomb weight, a selection of beads, a made-up Zebco Flatty Rig No 9 and elastic bands.

Is it suitable for beginners?

Yes. It brings together the core terminal tackle for bottom fishing in one kit, including a ready-made rig, so a beginner can have a proper go without sourcing each part separately.

Does it include a rod and reel?

No. The kit is terminal tackle only — line, hooks, weights, swivels, beads and a rig. You add your own rod and reel, plus bait, to complete the setup.

What hook size should I choose?

You can choose hook size 2 or 4 from the options. Size 4 suits smaller baits and fish, while size 2 is a little larger; pick to match your target species.

What is the bomb weight for?

The 2oz bomb weight holds your rig on the seabed against tide and current, which is what bottom fishing relies on to keep bait in the strike zone.

Can I use it to top up my tackle box?

Yes. Even experienced anglers use kits like this to restock hooks, swivels, weights, beads and a spare rig in one convenient purchase.

What can I catch bottom fishing?

Bottom fishing targets species feeding near the seabed, such as flatfish, whiting and other bottom-feeders, depending on your mark, bait and the season.

Do I need bait as well?

Yes. Bait is not included, so add suitable bait for your target fish. The size 4 baitholder hooks are designed to keep bait secured on the hook.

Good kit. Real people.
