Down the Cove is the app for a day on the UK coast — casting off a pier, taking the kids crabbing off a harbour wall, or smoking what you brought home. Tide times, a day-by-day score, and a logbook that does the remembering.
It runs in your browser today and installs to your home screen in two taps. The App Store and Google Play versions are on their way.

Every day for the next week is scored for three things — sea fishing, family crabbing, and food smoking — from wind, gusts, rain, pressure trend and daylight, plus official tide predictions. It always shows the reasons, and it will tell you plainly when a day is not worth it.

High and low water from the UK Hydrographic Office's ADMIRALTY service, for 607 stations around the coast. Pick your spot once and every screen follows it — the scores, the sun times, the lot.

Log a catch in seconds and the app stamps the day's conditions on it. After a few entries it starts showing what your best sessions had in common. It lives on your phone and works with no signal at all.

Eighteen species followed from the water to the table in our own voice — when and where, how to handle them, and what to do with them once they are home. Guides and recipes read in the app and save for a day with no signal.
There is nothing to download from a store yet. Open the app in your phone's browser and add it — it then opens full screen, like any other app, and keeps working when the signal goes.
